Safety Features
- SmoothStart – On acceleration, power is applied to the drive tires in a controlled manner ensuring a smooth start each time.
- HillSense – Allows the cart to be safely used on inclines and declines. The cart will travel at the speed set by the user, not by the incline or decline.
- AutoLock – An automatic parking brake locks the wheels when the throttle is not being applied. This feature prevents the cart from rolling away from the user and also provides easy loading and unloading on inclines and declines.
- Emergency Stop – The red E-Stop button allows the user to immediately stop the progress of the cart.
- Four Wheel Design – All Overland Carts have at least four wheels to provide maximum stability.
- Overload Fuse – There is a built in overload fuse that measures the inputs of the drive system in real time. If the incline, load, or terrain begins to overwork the motor, a fuse will stop the cart and prevent any damage to the transaxle.
- Throttle Controlled Braking – The braking is controlled by the throttle, simply let up on the throttle and the cart will slow down to the desired speed. To brake is automatically applied.
- Throttle Defaults to Zero MPH – If the throttle is released for any reason, the throttle will automatically return to the zero MPH position and the cart will safely coast to a stop. AutoLock will then engage and the cart will be secure.
- No open gears, belts, or hot components – The design of the cart keeps hands safe and prevents possible burns caused by hot engine components.
- Tested Over Time – Overland Cart has been developing and building carts for 10 years. We know our carts and have developed them to be as safe as possible.
Additional Features
- Heavy Duty Attachments – Add attachments as need. Each attachment is capable of holding 750 pounds.

- Variable Speed Twist Throttle – Similar to a motorcycle throttle. Very easy to use and to control the speed.
- Enclosed Gear Box – Gears are enclosed for maximum safety and durability. The transaxle is sealed for life and does not require any maintenance.
- Manual Mode – Allows the cart to be operated without battery power.
- Forward/Reverse – Direction can be selected from the toggle switch on the handlebar. The cart travels the same speed in either direction.
- Zero Turn Radius – The open differential allows the cart to be spun in a circle without power being applied, allowing for a true zero turn radius.
- Near Silent Operation – The electric drive system is almost silent in its operation.

Looking for a quantity discount or more options?
Have a question about the item?
Does it come with flat forks to accommodate plastic mini pallets? Warranty. ?
Hi Dustin, here is a link to our flat fork attachment for the Transformer: https://store.graniteind.com/product/overland-fork-truck-attachment-transformer. The warranty is as follows: 1 year – Powertrain and Electronics. 3 year – Steel Chassis
How wide is it from the outside of one tire to the outside of the other, I know the specification said 28″ wide, but in the picture looks like the handles are wider than the wheels, the ramp on my truck is 26″ wide.
Hi Danny, the tires and the handles are the same width. The handles are 28″ wide and the tires are 28″ wide from tire edge to tire edge. Each tire is 6″ wide. Please let us know if you have any additional questions!
Warranty????
Hi Bryan, all Overland Carts have a 1 year warranty on all electric and drive train components. There is a three year warranty on the steel components.
Can it go up and down stairs (assuming reverse to go up stairs, forward with braking to go down stairs)?
Hi Andrew, we do not recommend taking Overland Hand Trucks up or down stairs with a load on them. Without a load it is possible to drive the cart up or down a few stairs in a pinch. We recommend lifting up the cart and carrying it up or down stairs or using a ramp.

Can I order a fork for block and roll blocks? Like the one for the “transformer” cart on block and roll? Is it possible to get all terrain tires solid fill?
Hi Jonathan, great question! Unfortunately the physics of hauling a block and roll block would not work on our transformer. We would recommend buying a manual block and roll cart and Transformer although we understand that requires two carts instead of one. We do sell the Transformer with flat free dual ag tires. The part number is: 70223 and it is $100 more than our standard Transformer. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with! 877-447-2648
Can I upgrade from a 24V battery to a 36V if I order one
Hi Shannon! Our electric drive system is exclusively designed with 24V components. It is not possible to upgrade the cart to a 36V battery pack. We do offer two different 24V battery pack sizes for the Transformer, 12Amp-Hr & 21Amp-Hr. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with! 877-447-2648
Looking at this electric hand truck most of our inflatables are 365-500lb just wondering how this one will handle on inclines as we have lots of hilly yards in Washington?
Hi Scott, much of the load capacity depends on the terrain (long grass, short grass, hard dirt), incline, load and incline length. Our Transformer comes with a built in overload fuse that will trigger if the motor is being over worked. That’s an indicator to reduce the load or take a less severe angle. Overall our Transformer should work for your application. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with! 877-447-2648
DO YOU HAVE A DEALER IN EUROPE ?
Hi Thanasis, unfortunately we do not have a dealer in Europe at this time.
How high off the ground are the handles when on all 4 wheels are on the ground.
Hi C.D., The hand grips are about 36″H from the ground when the cart is in the reclined position. If you have any other questions, please let us know: 877-447-2648
Are these for fridges and washers and dryers
Hi Marshall, the Transformer can be used to move appliances on hard flat surfaces but are no designed for operation on stairs. We would recommend our Power Appliance Cart for your application: https://store.graniteind.com/product/overland-electric-powered-appliance-hand-truck-with-turf-tires. If you have any other questions, please let us know: 877-447-2648
Will the overland hand truck climb trailer ramp with 200lbs.? Can I still order the model 70194 ? Its appears to be shorter in the Videos.
Hi Jeremy, yes the Overland Transformer can climb into a trailer with 200 lb of weight. There is only one model of the 70194, it is the one shown in the pictures above. If you have any additional questions, please let us know: 877-447-2648 or email: support@graniteind.com. Thank you!
Does the hand truck come with all its parts in the picture? Or do I have to buy them separately?
Hi Luis, the Transformer comes standard with a footplate. All the accessories are optional and must be purchased separately. If you have any other questions, please let us know: 877-477-2648. Thank you!
How wide is the unit from the outside to outside of each tire?
28″ from tire edge to tire edge. The tires are the widest component of the Transformer.
Can I change the tire size if my dolly won’t go up the ramp ? It’s an inch too wide
Hi John, we do offer a flat free single ag tire option for the Transformer that would reduce the overall width to 24″ from tire edge to tire edge. The part number is: 70228 and the price would be the same. Here’s a link to the tire: https://store.graniteind.com/product/overland-13-in-flat-free-single-ag-tire-right If you have any questions feel free to give us a call: 877-447-2648
